Last dates of Christmas

Ok so we definitely over estimated our ability with these dates! We managed to finally get our Santa photo with Ava and Jock although after the hour wait in line it's safe to say Ava was well over it and wanted to just pat all the dogs.  I've also added some of our Christmas cookies we made and bagged to give as pressies and Ava opening her Christmas eve book.  The dates we didn't manage to do were go see some carols (which we usually do but my Christmas party fell on the same night) and buy new pjs which damo thinks we should change anyway, so all in all I guess we didn't do too bad. 

Fifth date of Christmas

This was my favourite date by far this Christmas! We've always loved looking at Christmas lights and with Ava this year it was extra special.  We only went to one house this year but it was amazing! Ava loved pointing at all the lights and sitting by herself like a big girl on Santa's sleigh. 

Fourth date of Christmas

Every year I promise myself that I'll check out the Christmas windows in the city but every year it's always something I miss seeing so I wasn't really sure what to expect with the windows in Brisbane but they did a good job.  This years story was about a sheep called Russell that helped Santa save Christmas after Santa's sleigh crashed.  Ava especially loved one of the reindeers that was playing peek a boo behind a tree.

3 Dates of Christmas

Last night we managed to do three of our dates all together - it was Avas birthday so we went out for a nice dinner and after she went to bed damo and I dragged the spare mattress into the lounge to watch Christmas movies and sleep under the tree lights.  This is probably the date I'm most looking forward too as Ava gets older. By the way the mattress is still in the lounge and I can see us sleeping through there for a few more nights before we can be bothered to put it back!
